ATLANTA, GEORGIA (By Chad Archey, Energy Analytics Institute, 29.Sep.2026, Words: 158) â Mexico will continue to send humanitarian aid to Cuba.
This, according to Mexicoâs foreign minister Roberto Velasco.
Velasco, speaking on 29 Sep. 2026 at the UN meeting in New York City, said Mexico will maintain its support to address the urgent needs of the Cuban population and reiterated its rejection of the US embargo.Â
During his speech, Velasco also defended sovereignty, international law, and cooperation between countries “without subordination.”
He also called for the UN to be reformed to better address global conflicts.
So far in 2026, Mexico has sent shipments of food and other supplies to the island nation.
In Feb. 2026, 2 Navy ships transported over 814 tons of provisions.
âWe will continue sending humanitarian aid” to Cuba,â Velasco added.
