The delegation met with multiple mining stakeholders and visited numerous energy facilities to gain insights into development plans.
This proactive engagement serves to strengthen the Trump administration’s priorities on energy exports and foster a deeper understanding of international energy infrastructure, LNG Alliance announced on 2 Mar. 2026 in a social media post.
The US delegation featured Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Curt Coccodrilli of the Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office and Acting Assistant Secretary Tommy Joyce from the Office of International Affairs | US Department of Energy complemented by representatives from the US Department of Commerce, and U.S. Consulates in Tijuana and Hermosillo.
