MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 25.Dec.2025, Words: 423) — State-owned Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), through the Japanese company ADAPTEX, sponsored by the JICA, are currently engaged in a project to increase energy efficiency and consequently contribute to environmental improvement at the Cadereyta refinery in Nuevo León in northern Mexico.
The project consists of implementing an advanced process control system in the direct-fired heaters of the primary distillation and vacuum plant Combinada 1.
