President Claudia Sheinbaum presents “Coatlicue” Mexico’s supercomputer

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 26.Nov.2025, Words: 289) — The government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (Secihti) and the Agency for Digital Transformation and Telecommunications (ATDT), presented “Coatlicue,” Mexico’s public supercomputer, which they also proclaimed as the most powerful in Latin America. 

Coatlicue will require a public investment of 6bn Mexican pesos (MXN) and its construction will take an estimated 24 months after starting in Jan. 2026.
