Argentina removes export taxes for conventional oil

SALVADOR DE BAHIA, BRAZIL (By Pedro Silva, Energy Analytics Institute, 18.Nov.2025, Words: 311) — Argentina’s national government eliminated export taxes on conventional crude oil to promote the sector’s development and generate predictability. 

Cabinet chief Manuel Adorni, along with economy minister Luis Caputo and interior minister Diego Santilli, met at the Ministry of Economy with the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to modify the export tax scheme for conventional oil.
