MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 13.Aug.2025, Words: 515) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo said over 100 scientists are already working at the design and engineering center located in Puebla, with the goal of having the first Olinia vehicles ready by mid-2026.
“They are electric, they don’t pollute, they can be plugged into any outlet anywhere, and they must have the characteristics of the type of vehicle we Mexicans use. The cost must be lower than any commercial vehicle of its type,” Sheinbaum reiterated on 13 Aug. 2025 during her mañanera or daily media briefing.
