BOGOTA, COLOMBIA (By Ana Sanches, Energy Analytics Institute, 14.Jul.2025, Words: 366) — EP Petroecuador continues to advance with plans to progressively extinguish gas flaring points, this time with the shutdown and dismantling of 7 such points located in the Sacha, Indillana and Auca fields.
With this action, the state-owned company has extinguished and dismantled 160 such points in the Amazon region since the beginning of the process in 2022. This, in compliance with the court judgement issued in 2021 that mandated the plan.
