BELIZE CITY, BELIZE (Aaron Simonsky, Energy Analytics Institute, 22.Apr.2025, Words: 425) — Per the current construction schedule, the $3bn Vaca Muerta Sur crude oil export pipeline, also known as VMOS, is expected to commence commercial operations in the second-half 2027 (2H:27).

Importantly, partners in the VMOS have committed an aggregate volume of approximately 450,000 barrels per day (b/d) of capacity. The VMOS is expected to have an initial transportation capacity of up to 550,000 b/d during  commercial operations, but there is potential to expand this capacity to around 700,000 b/d, if required.
