PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 30.Mar.2025) — The Mayaya Centro-X1 field in Bolivia’s northern sub-Andean region in the Madre de Dios basin has estimated hydrocarbon reserve potential comparable to the volume exported to Brazil in the last 25 years.
This according to Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) vice president of operations Ariel Montaño who made the statements on 30 Mar. 2025 during an interview broadcast on Bolivia TV.
