(Energy Analytics Institute, 29.Oct.2024) — Expand Energy Corporation is currently running 12 rigs (8 in Haynesville, 2 in Northeast Appalachia, and 2 in Southwest Appalachia) as well as 6 completion crews (3 in Haynesville, 2 in Northeast Appalachia, and 1 in Southwest Appalachia).
And, under current market conditions, Expand expects to drop two rigs in the first-quarter 2025 (1Q:25), the company said 29 Oct. 2024 in an official statement.
In 2025, Expand looks to run 10 to 12 rigs and invest $2.7bn in an effort to yield estimated production of approximately 7 Bcfe/d, the company said.
In the 3Q:24, Expand said that the legacy Chesapeake operated an average of seven rigs to drill 30 wells and turned seven wells in line, resulting in net production of approximately 2.65 Bcfe/d (100% natural gas).
