— Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro told the citizens of the OPEC country to be on “maximum alert” in the face of what he called “terrorist attacks by the national and international right-wing against the Guri hydroelectric complex and the Paraguaná Refining Complex.” Maduro said “our response must be forceful… we are determined to defend the stability and peace of the country,” he announced 23 May 2022 during an broadcast on national television..
