ExxonMobil VP John Adrill commented on the co.’s three new discoveries offshore Guyana in the Stabroek Blk: The Lukanani-1 well encountered 115ft (35m) of hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone, and was Exxon’s 100th well spud in Guyana where the co. and its partners have made more than 25 discoveries since 2015. The Barreleye-1 and Patwa-1 wells encountered ~230ft (70m) and 108ft (33m) of hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone, respectively, increasing Exxon’s est. of the discovered recoverable resource for the Stabroek to nearly 11 bn BOE. “Our exploration success rate on the Guyana Stabroek block is more than 90 percent and validates our ambitious exploration strategy,” Ardill announced 26 Apr. 2022 on LinkedIn.
