(Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 24.Nov.2020) â Maintenance work at the non-catalytic units #2 and #3 of the Las Esmeraldas Refinery included repair work on the static, rotating, and electrical equipment as well as instruments in the following units: heavy naphtha hydrotreater, catalytic reformer, regeneration loop and diesel hydrodesulfurizer (HDS).
Work at the refinery was carried out for 47 days, EP PetroEcuador General Manager Ricardo Merino said on 24 November 2020 in an official company statement.
