YPFB To Boost Fuel Supplies For “Todos Santos” Weekend

(Energy Analytics Institute, 31.Oct.2020) — Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YFB) announced plans to boost fuel volumes to supply the general population over the weekend and through the “Todos Santos” holiday, according to an internal report from the Department of Corporate Commercialization at the state entity.

The increased volumes are needed to covered the increased demand normally seen over the extended weekend and holiday period, state-controlled YPFB reported on 31 October 2020 in an official statement.

The decision will impact diesel oil (DO), gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) volumes, which are expected to rise 2%, 3% and 5% respectively, based on the daily average scheduled for November, according to YPFB.

Approximately 22.5 million liters of diesel oil will be shipped, 20.4 million liters of gasoline (special and premium) and 389,714 bottles of LPG, YPFB said.

Increased fuel supply will be available in La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca, Tarija, Oruro, Potosí and the Amazon district which includes the departments of Beni and Pando.
