(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 29.Feb.2020) — Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro revealed key executive changes within state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in an announcement published in the country’s Official Gaceta dated 28 February 2020.
The new appointments approved by the president include:
— Erwin Enrique Hernández Hernández, named as Vice President of Exploration and Production;
— Gabriel Rafael Oliveros, named as Vice President of Refining;
— Antonio José Pérez Suárez, named as Vice President of Commerce and Supply;
— Oswaldo Javier Pérez Cuevas, named as Vice President of Finances; and
— Víctor Ramón Zamora Cardenas, named as Vice President of Human Resources.
Additionally, Maduro named German José Márquez Gil as President of Venezuela’s Petroleum Corporation (CVP).
