Morales Visits Quantum Motors’ Electric Vehicle Plant in Cochabamba

The main problems relates to an import policy required by the Directorate of Prevention and Investigation of Vehicle Theft (Diprove) and the Departmental Directorate of Traffic, reported online media La Razón.

company has invested at least $700,000 in the factory located in Colcapirhua, Cochabamba, where 60 workers produce electric urban vehicles capable of transporting three passengers.

In the plant, the chassis, shocks, front train components and seats are manufactured, followed by assembly and painting. An estimated 40% of each electric vehicle is manufactured nationally while 60% is imported.


Bolivia Signs Contract To Market Gas To Mato Grosso

(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 26.Sep.2019) — Bolivia’s state oil company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) inked a marketing contract with MTGas de Brasil to provide 1 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) of natural gas to Brazil’s Mato Grosso State for 15 months until December 2020.

Mato Grosso, which borders Bolivia, is the third largest state in Brazil, and has a population of 3.3 million inhabitants. The state’s economy is driven by extractive industry (wood, rubber), agriculture (sugar cane, soybeans, rice, corn), livestock, mining (limestone and gold); metallurgical; and food industry, reported online media La Razón.
