MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 15.Sep.2025, Words: 88) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo led Mexico’s famous “Cry of Independence” ceremony, also commonly known as El Grito.
On the 215th anniversary of the “Cry of Independence,” Sheinbaum, the first woman to lead this ceremony, highlighted the unsung heroines, Indigenous women, and migrant brothers and sisters, and also emphasized that Mexico is a free, independent, and sovereign country.
