Brava Energia Inks Brazilian Gas Supply Deal with Cerâmica Serra Azul

(Aaron Simonsky, Energy Analytics Institute, 20.Dec.2024) — Brava Energia S.A. signed a 3-year natural gas supply contract with Cerâmica Serra Azul, an industry located in the state of Sergipe. The contract commences in Jan. 2025 and provides for the supply of 77,000 m3/day (MMcm/d) of natural gas.

Gas will be sourced from Brava’s operations in Recôncavo Baiano, Espírito Santo and Rio Grande do Norte, which are integrated into different transportation networks, Brava announced 20 Dec. 2024 in an official statement.

This contract with a free customer is a first for Brava. It reinforces Brava’s objective to maximize the profitability of the gas molecules produced, as well as to diversify customers, the company said.

Cerâmica Serra Azul is part of the portfolio of companies of Carmelo Fior, a ceramics company founded in 1989. Established in Sergipe since 2010, the company has its own quarries and high-tech, precision equipment.
