HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Pietro D. Pitts, Editores LatinPetroleum, 16.Sep.2026) — Trinidad and Tobago prime minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar confirmed she will hold a bilateral meeting with Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez.
Said meeting is expected to take place at the end of next week in New York, and on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session, El Nacional reported on 16 Sep. 2026.
The high-level meeting aims to formally reactivate diplomatic and trade relations between the 2 neighboring Caribbean nations.
This, following a period of estrangement stemming from disagreements on migration, cross-border security, and regional geopolitics.
