CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores Latin Petroleum, 2.Sep.2026, Words: 145) — Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez presided over a signing ceremony of the Hydrocarbon Productive Participation Contract (CPP) for primary activities in the Baré Block.
The deal was signed between Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and Geopark, Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Relations said on 2 Sep. 2026 in an official statement.
During the ceremony, Rodríguez welcomed Jaime Gilinski Baca, president of the Gilinski Group, and highlighted the importance of this alliance with a major Colombian corporation.
Rodríguez emphasized this collaboration was a clear sign of the confidence that international investors currently place in Venezuela’s legal and regulatory framework, thus strengthening the bonds of friendship between the 2 nations.
