Baja California strengthens electrical grid with Wisteria-Herradura transmission line

MONTERREY, MEXICO (By Isaac Silvestre, Editores Latin Petroleum, 19.Aug.2026, Words: 120) — Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) put into operation the 135km, 230-kilovolt Wisteria-Herradura transmission line, connecting Mexicali and Tecate. 

The project, comprised of 429 steel structures, is the first of this magnitude built in the region in 33 years.
