Fuel theft network linked to Ernesto “N” discovered in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 28.Jul.2026, Words: 184) — The investigation against Ernesto ‘N’, a former governor of Baja California, for his alleged involvement in a fuel theft network began after the discovery of 33 abandoned railcars in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, with irregularities and posing a risk to the population. 

Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) stated this discovery uncovered a large-scale hydrocarbon transportation operation.
