Pitts, Energy Analytics Institute, 5.Mar.2026, Words: 1,015) — At the kick-off ceremony for the Trión field project, a joint venture between Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and Australian company Woodside Energy, Mexico’s Secretariat of Energy (SENER) head Luz Elena González Escobar, was keen to point out the benefits to come in the future.
She stressed the collaboration will create a “virtuous circle” of well-being, by combining Pemex’ deepwater experience and investment with national capabilities, fostering a local anchor that will promote the training of young people and transfer of technological expertise.
