“In that military operation, president Nicolás Maduro and first lady Cilia Flores were captured. We had already warned that an aggression was underway under false pretenses and that the masks had fallen, with one objective: regime change in order to seize our energy, mineral, and natural resources,” Rodríguez asserted on 3 Jan. 2025 while chairing a meeting of the National Defense Council.
