This, following a report from a citizen who alerted of the presence of a strong fuel smell. Afterwards, specialists from the Pemex response team went to a building located in the Colonia Observatorio in the district of Miguel Hidalgo to determine whether it was an illegal tap and disable it.

In coordination with Mexico City’s Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, a sweep was carried out with special equipment to diagnose the reliability of the installation, and it was determined that the pipeline was not affected, as no physical evidence of an illegal tap was found.
