MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 1.Nov.2025, Words: 215) — As part of an operational deployment to reinforce security in the state of Veracruz, 8 people were arrested and 250,000 liters of fuel, 12 tanker trucks of varying capacities, a property, electronic devices, while various documents were seized in the municipality of Perote.
The operation was part of an action led by members of the Mexican Navy (Semar) in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Ministry of National Defense (Defensa), the National Guard (GN), and state-owned PetrĂłleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
