MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 28.Oct.2025, Words: 220) — Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) said that outstanding balance of the account known as “suppliers” stood at 517bn Mexican pesos as of 30 Sep. 2025, down 2.2% compared to 505bn pesos as of 31 Dec. 2024.
This accounting balance consists of supplier liabilities, which are registered in the COPADE (from the Spanish for payment and debit coding) document.

This registry includes accrued expenses for goods and services that are in the process of being reconciled, as well as debts owed by subsidiary companies, Pemex said on 27 Oct. 2025 in an official statement.

In the first nine months of 2025, payments to suppliers and contractors totaled 299bn pesos, but in the coming months, the available resources from the 2025 investment financing program, which is coordinated by Banobras and which has already settled invoices worth 2.912bn pesos in Sep. 2025 and 26.285bn pesos in Oct. 2025, will be added to the payment process.

In the coming months, Pemex expects to settle 220bn pesos in debts, the company said.
