PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (By Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 8.Oct.2025, Words: 270) — Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro Moros, in an audio broadcast on his Telegram channel, emphasized that Operation Independence 200 to safeguard the Integral Defense Zones (ZODI) in the states of Carabobo and La Guaira was launched at midnight.
Maduro also indicated that at 5am, social and popular forces, as well as the Bolivarian Militia, joined the operation, mobilizing the military-popular machinery, and by 6am, they were already operational in both states.
