MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 24.Aug.2025, Words: 221) — Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) said specialized personnel of the Catalina pipeline sector activated emergency protocols related to a crude oil spill reported along the Poza Rica-Salamanca pipeline in the vicinity of the municipality of Huauchinango, Puebla.
Currently, product containment and recovery work is being carried out with specialized equipment, such as a vacuum pressure recovery unit, backhoes and oleophilic barriers, according to Pemex.
