HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Isaac Silvestre, Energy Analytics Institute, 24.Jun.2025, Words: 329) — JPMorganChase entered a deal with 1PointFive for the purchase of 50,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits over 10 years enabled by direct air capture (DAC).
1PointFive’s first DAC facility, STRATOS, is currently under construction in Ector County, Texas. Once complete this facility is expected to be the largest DAC facility in the world. It is designed to capture up to 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year.
