ATLANTA, GEORGIA / MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (Chad Archey and Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 12.Jun.2025, Words: 425) — Mexican imports of piped-gas from the US averaged 7.3 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) for the week ended 11 Jun. 2025, up 0.3% or less than 0.1 Bcf/d compared to 7.2 Bcf/d last week. This compares to 6.9 Bcf/d in the same year-ago week, according to US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Mexico’s demand for US-piped gas continues to rise amid continued expansion of gas-fired power generation and as gas-short Mexico taps increasingly more low-priced, reliable and abundant US-sourced gas just across its northern border.
