PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 2.Jun.2025, Words: 211) — Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro said his country was on average producing close to 1.1 million barrels per day (MMb/d) despite so-called unilateral coercive measures (MCU by its Spanish acronym) against state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA).
“Venezuela will continue to grow its oil production with its own lungs,” Maduro said on 2 Jun. 2025 during the broadcast of his show Con Maduro on Venezuelan television.
