(Energy Analytics Institute, 19.Nov.2020) — Bolivia’s Hydrocarbons and Energy Minister Franklin Molina Ortiz said the country needs to lower its liquids subsidy and implement policies, programs and projects that help reduce the pressure of fuel imports.

Molina blamed the previous government for fuel supply issues across the Andean country.

“The pandemic cannot be blamed … this is the result of a terrible management,” the ministry announced 19 November 2020 in an official statement, citing Molina. “We hope that the sector can resume its broad path of development,” he added.
