PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 9.May.2025, Words: 148) — Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEI) received reports on 9 May 2025 of an incident at cluster S-912, an asset owned and operated by Heritage Petroleum Company Limited, located within the southwest Soldado field.
As of 3pm, a light sheen heading in a north-easterly direction, based on trajectory modeling, was reported. Notably, the quantity of spilled hydrocarbon is currently estimated at less than 1 barrel, the MEEI announced on 9 May 2025 in an official statement.
