Port of Corpus Christi moves record 51.3 Mt in 1Q:25, driven by oil and LNG volumes

HOUSTON, TEXAS (Ian Silverman, Energy Analytics Institute, 16.Apr.2025) — The Port of Corpus Christi and its customers moved 51.3 million tons (Mt) of commodities through the Corpus Christi ship channel in the first-quarter 2025 (1Q:25), the highest first quarter in the history of the Port.

The volumes were driven by increases in crude oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments.
