ATLANTA, GEORGIA (Chad Archey, Energy Analytics Institute, 6.Apr.2025) — India’s prime minister Shri Narendra Modi conducted an official state visit to Sri Lanka where at least 2 memorandum of understanding (MOU) in the energy space between India and Sri Lanka and then Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The first MOU was signed by India and Sri Lanka for the implementation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) interconnection for the import and export of power, India’s Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced on 6 Apr. 2025 in a post on X.
