PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 11.Mar.2025) — Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro said average Venezuelan oil production exceeded 1 million barrels per day (MMb/d) in Feb. 2025 and is expected to keep growing in Mar. 2025.
“All the oil fields in the country will continue to produce, grow and consolidate their production,” Maduro said on 11 Mar. 2025 during the activation of the so-called Hydrocarbon Engine Initiative aimed at promoting the national productive apparatus and strengthening the Venezuelan economy.
