Argentina and Brazil Ink MOU Related to Vaca Muerta Gas Supply

(Energy Analytics Institute, 19.Nov.2024) — Argentina’s Economic Minister Luis Caputo and Brazil’s Energy and Mining Minister Alexandre Silveira signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to discuss the necessary infrastructure needed for the export of Vaca Muerta shale natural gas to Brazil.

At stale is potential for Argentina to export 30 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) of the shale gas to Brazil over 5 years, Argentina’s Economic Ministry said 19 Nov. 2024 in a social media post.
