(Energy Analytics Institute, 9.Feb.2023) — California-based energy giant Chevron Corporation released its 2022 methane report, which it said builds on its climate change-related reporting and provides detailed information on its ongoing work to reduce methane intensity and improve methane emissions inventories.
“We recognize the challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of methane detection and measurement, including the need for reliable measurement protocols. This report highlights our efforts to advance the deployment of methane detection technology and actions to improve our performance,” Chevron chairman and CEO Michael K. Wirth said in the report.
