(Energy Analytics Institute, 1.May.2022) — Venezuelan workers from across various sectors together with workers from the still important petroleum sector marched to Miraflores Presidential Palace in Caracas to celebrate international workers’ day together with President Nicolás Maduro.
Simultaneous mobilizations also took place in other states across the OPEC country including in Anzoátegui, Portuguesa, Bolívar and Yaracuy, state owned PDVSA announced 1 May 2022 in an official statement.
On this occasion, Maduro instructed his Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to “discuss and improve without exception all collective contracts and collective agreements” involving the country’s workers.
