— Colombia signed a MOU w/ The Netherlands to create a hydrogen export channel, Colombia’s Mines and Energy Minister Diego Mesa announced over social media.
Ecuador
— EP PetroEcuador realized its first spot sale of 2022 w/ the offer of 1,080,000 bbls of Oriente oil and 1,520,000 bbls of Fuel Oil 6, the co. announced Feb. 3 over social media.
Venezuela
— Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro announced on national TV that there will be no presidential elections in 2024. The official made the announcement during an act commemorating 4 Feb. 1992, the day the late leader Hugo Chávez led an attempted coup against then-president Carlos Andrés Pérez. “I don’t know what the electoral law will say… at least in 2022 and 2023 there are no elections.”
