Trafigura Wins Bid To Export Fuel Oil No. 6

(Energy Analytics Institute, 17.Apr.2021) — EP Petroecuador awarded Singapore’s Trafigura PTE. LTD. an export deal for 1,900,000 barrels of Fuel Oil No. 6.

The volume offered will be exported in 10 shipments of 190,000 +/- 10% each, which will be delivered between May and July 2021, EP PetroEcuador announced 17 April 2021 in an official statement.

The first loading window will be in May 2021. Estimated revenues from the exports will approximate $122.4mn.

PetroEcuador invited 39 qualified companies to the bid event, of which four offers were presented:

• Trafigura PTE. LTD.: -$2.65/bbl

• Glencore LTD.: -$3.63/bbl

• Petrochina International CO. LTD.: -$4.66/bbl

• Freepoint Commodities LLC.: -$4.88/bbl
