Oil Industry Savings From Using Robots on Platforms
Automation could save the oil industry an estimated $7bn in wages for by replacing humans with robots on platforms, the daily Colombian newspaper El Espectador reported on 29 March 2021, citing a report by Rystad Energy.
Commission To Decide Conflict Between Union, Shell
Three weeks after a conflict between the Private Oil Guild broke out with the operating company Shell, due to the subcontracting of a sand supplier company, there’s still no final resolution, daily newspaper Río Negro on 30 March 2021. The issue will be decided by a commission that will rule on whether the claim initiated by the union organization is valid.
