BP Eyes First Matapal Gas Production In 2022

(Energy Analytics Institute, 6.Nov.2020) — BP Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) commenced drilling the first well of a three well Matapal development. Once finalized, these wells will be tied into the nearby Juniper platform with first natural gas flows slated for 2022.

Drilling of the first well is slated to be finalized in the second quarter of 2021, executives with bpTT told Energy Analytics Institute.

The Matapal development will have capacity to produce 400 million standard cubic feet per day.
