(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 30.Dec.2019) — Brazil’s state oil giant Petrobras inked a transition agreement under the natural gas supply agreement (GSA) with its Bolivian counterpart Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos or YPFB.
The agreement, signed on 27 December 2019, establishes a transition period (from 1 January 2020 thru 30 March 2020) for the GSA, Rio de Janeiro-based Petrobras announced 30 Dec. in an official statement.
In the deal, “Petrobras and YPFB will continue the negotiation process with the objective of changing certain commercial conditions, aligned to the process of opening the Brazilian natural gas market and the new context of the Bolivian market,” Petrobras said in the statement.
