(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 29.Mar.2015) – PDVSA announced an armed commando group attacked its Tejero Operating Center installations located in the Punta de Mata Eastern Executive Division in Monagas.
The group cut off cables that lead to the pumping station, generating a flooding at the storage tanks, which can handle 80 million barrels of crude oil and 1.2 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
Venezuelan National Guard members are investigating the attack and searching for the aggressors, PDVSA announced in an official statement.
