MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 8.Oct.2026, Words: 219) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted that Mexicana, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), Tren Maya, and Grupo Mundo Maya are meeting their objectives month after month and are on track with their plans.
“The companies are on schedule. From the moment of their construction and launch, they have a plan: what goals must be met each year, even each month,” Sheinbaum said on 8 Oct. 2026 during her morning presser.
“We also meet to review how these goals are being met. If they need more support from the Ministry of Tourism, Josefina (Secretary of Tourism) has been very helpful in integrating services and promoting them on various travel platforms,” Sheinbaum said.
And each of the companies has reached its break-even point, she added.
“Break-even point means that they don’t require any additional budget support; their revenue allows them to operate and maintain their services.” And they are all in agreement with the plan that was made from the very beginning and they are increasing every month and every year,” the president said during her daily update to national and international media outlets.
