Amigo LNG celebrates receipt of all necessary Mexican and US authorizations

HOUSTON, TEXAS  (By Pietro D. Pitts, Energy Analytics Institute, 2.Jun.2026, Words: 266) — Amigo LNG, which plans to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction terminal on Mexico’s west coast in Guaymas, Sonora, has received all necessary permits to advance the project.

Amigo LNG will source feed gas from the prolific US Permian basin. From there the gas will be transported to Mexico via existing cross-border pipeline infrastructure.
