MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 19.Dec.2025, Words: 152) — The Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) storage and distribution terminal (TAD) in the municipality of Santa Catarina conducted its final major emergency drill of 2025, simulating a fuel spill and fire in a tank with a capacity of 100,000 barrels of regular gasoline.
Due to the scale of the exercise, the TAD requested participation of agencies such as state and municipal Civil Protection, Nuevo León Fire Department, state traffic police, and the Mexican Red Cross.
