MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 20.Aug.2026, Words: 138) — Mexico will keep regular gasoline and diesel prices stable for another 6 months.

This, after the government of Mexico and representatives of most of the country’s service stations agreed to renew the national strategy to stabilize the price of regular gasoline, keeping it below 24 Mexican pesos per liter.

They also agreed to maintain the current price of diesel below 27 pesos per liter, the presidency announced on 20 Aug. 2026 in an official statement.

In border regions, the price of these fuels will be even lower due to the application of an 8% Value Added Tax (VAT).
